Brilliant Candidate Standing For Pant Ward, Rhos Community Council Election Thursday 22nd February

Beth English

My name is Beth Wright (CLICK HERE) and I am standing as Welsh Labour’s candidate in the election of a Councillor for Pant Ward on Rhos Community Council. Over the next week, I will be posting one of my bilingual campaign leaflets through each door on the ward (please see photo above). It gives a brief introduction about me and explains that I have been an active member of the community for the 30 years I have lived here.
Following on from what I say in my leaflet, as someone who has not previously been involved in politics, I feel now is the time to step up and give back to the community that has given me so much. I am very proud to be part of the ‘new breed/brand’ of Labour members who are doing exciting things on behalf of Labour locally, nationally & internationally. The Labour family really is just that, and I am constantly inspired by how many fellow ‘ordinary’ people are making such a huge difference for the people they represent. My fellow Labour candidate and friend, Nick Claffey, has recently been elected unopposed to serve as Community Councillor for Groes Ward. Nick is a passionate campaigner, especially with his work with Humanity 4 Homeless, and will be an asset to the Penycae Community Council.
This is why I am incredibly thankful to have been chosen as the Labour candidate, with the backing of our elected officials and so many local people. I am motivated by Labour under Jeremy Corbyn, as it proudly places itself front and centre within our communities, sending the message that to make changes Nationally we have to work together locally, with those within our own party and others, whether we agree or disagree, in order to better the lives of us all.
I am more proud to stand as the potential candidate to represent EVERYONE in the Ward, regardless of their political colours or their demographic. I am the candidate who was raised in the ward, whose family goes back generations in Ffordd Powys and Pen y Graig, and I am lucky enough to still call it home today. I believe I am the candidate that knows the people of Pant and will fight for what they want and need most, and I sincerely hope you will all give me the opportunity to show you this by electing me.
Please do contact me if you have any questions or local issues you would like to raise.
Also, if you would like to help during the campaign, you would be made to feel most welcome- please get in touch!
Thank you very much.
Beth Wright

Beth Welsh
Fy enw i yw Beth Wright (PWYSWCH YMA) ac rwy’n sefyll fel ymgeisydd Llafur Cymru yn yr etholiad ar gyfer Cynghorydd i Ward Pant ar Gyngor Cymuned Rhos. Dros yr wythnos nesaf, byddaf yn postio un o’m taflenni ymgyrch ddwyieithog trwy bob drws ar y ward . Mae’n rhoi cyflwyniad byr amdanaf ac yn esbonio fy mod wedi bod yn aelod gweithredol o’r gymuned am y 30 mlynedd rwyf wedi byw yma.
Yn dilyn yr hyn rwy’n ei ddweud yn fy nhaflen, fel rhywun nad oedd wedi cymryd rhan mewn ymgyrchon gwleidyddol ynghynt, rwy’n teimlo nawr yw’r amser i gamu ymlaen a rhoi yn ôl i’r gymuned sydd wedi rhoi cymaint i mi. Rwy’n falch iawn o fod yn rhan o ‘brand newydd’ aelodau’r Blaid Lafur; maent yn gwneud pethau cyffrous ar ran y blaid yn lleol, yn genedlaethol ac yn rhyngwladol. Mae’r blaid Lafur fel teulu mewn gwirionedd, ac rwy’n cael fy ysbrydoli’n gyson gan faint o gyd-bobl ‘cyffredin’ sy’n gwneud gwahaniaeth mor fawr i’r bobl y maent yn eu cynrychioli. Yn ddiweddar, etholwyd fy nghyd-ymgeisydd Lafur a ffrind, Nick Claffey, ii wasanaethu fel Cynghorydd Cymuned Ward Groes. Mae Nick yn ymgyrchydd angerddol, yn enwedig gyda’i waith gyda Humanity 4 Homeless, mi fydd yn weithgar iawn ar Gyngor Cymuned Penycae.
Dyna pam yr wyf yn hynod ddiolchgar i gael fy newis fel ymgeisydd Llafur, gyda chefnogaeth ein swyddogion etholedig a chynifer o bobl leol. Rwyf wedi fy ysbrydoli gan Llafur o dan Jeremy Corbyn, gan ei fod yn falch i osod ei hun yng nghanol ac yng nghalon ein cymunedau, Mae’r neges fod rhaid inni gydweithio’n lleol, gyda’r rheini yn ein plaid ac unrhyw bartïon eraill, os ydym yn cytuno neu’n anghytuno, er mwyn gwella bywydau pawb ohonom yn ein cymuned ac yn genedlaethol.
Rwyf yn falch fyth o sefyll fel yr ymgeisydd posibl i gynrychioli BOB UN yn y Ward, dim ots eu lliwiau gwleidyddol neu eu demograffig. Fi yw’r ymgeisydd á magwyd yn y ward, y mae fy nheulu’n mynd yn ôl cenedlaethau yn Ffordd Powys a Pen y Graig, ac rwy’n ffodus i alw’n gartref hyd heddiw. Rwy’n credu mai fi yw’r ymgeisydd sy’n adnabod pobl Pant, a fydd yn ymladd dros yr hyn y maent ei eisiau neu ei angen fwyaf, ac rwy’n mawr obeithio y rhowch gyfle i mi ddangos hyn i chi trwy fy ethol.

Cysylltwch â mi os oes gennych unrhyw gwestiynau ar faterion lleol. Neu os hoffech fod yn rhan o’n hymgyrch, bydd croeso mawr i chi.

Diolch yn fawr.
Beth Wright
